Position: Senior Researcher

Location: Dhaxalreeb, Mogadishu Somalia

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Researcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading research initiatives, developing partnerships, and contributing to high-quality publications and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Lead and manage research projects from design to implementation
✔ Develop research proposals and secure funding opportunities
✔ Conduct high-quality academic and applied research
✔ Build partnerships with local and international stakeholders
✔ Prepare and publish research papers in peer-reviewed journals
✔ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior researchers
✔ Present research findings to stakeholders and at conferences

Job Requirements / Specifications:

1. Master’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Public Administration, or Business Administration, with strong engagement in community, public, or private sectors
2. Strong knowledge in:
• Resource mobilization
• Communication
• International relations
• Public relations
3. Excellent presentation, writing, and negotiation skills, including the ability to develop partnership initiatives and grant proposals
4. Strong project management skills
5. Minimum of 6 years’ relevant work experience
6. At least 4 publications in peer-reviewed journals
7. Minimum of 6 completed research papers
8. Proficiency in computer applications, including statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Stata, etc.)

Language Requirements:

✔ Fluent in English (spoken and written)
✔ Native proficiency in Somali
