Background:

Somali-Sudanese Specialized Hospital is a Referral and Teaching Hospital that has many specialties,

funded by Somali business elites, so as to meet the needs of the Somali people in providing excellent health care services. it has been operating since 2014.

The main hospital branch is in Hodan district, and it has four other branches in Mogadishu. The hospital employs both qualified Somalis and expatriates from different nationalities.

Vacancy   Position       Marketing and Public Relations Manager:

We are looking for a Marketing and Public Relations Manager who will develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that will promote the hospital’s services, build community trust, and enhance patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

1. Marketing & Branding

·       Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to meet the hospital's objectives,      increase patient’s volumes, strengthen brand presence, and increase sales levels.

·       Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns.

·       Coordinate production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, signage, stickers, boards, and digital content.

·       Manage budgets and ensure cost-effective marketing operations.

·       Plan and organize health campaigns and medical outreach programs.

2. Public Relations & Communication

·       Manage public relations and media communications and collaborate with the other health stakeholders.

·       Maintain hospital brand by coordinating and participating in public forums, special marketing events, health campaigns, and community outreach programs.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with the media, corporate businesses, community partners, and other key stakeholders.

·       Draft press releases, articles, and publications to enhance the hospital's reputation.

·       Serve as the hospital’s spokesperson when required and professionally handle critical communications.

·       Develop and manage communication protocols to ensure consistent internal and external messaging.

3. Digital Marketing & Social Media

·       Organize, design, and manage advertising and marketing campaign content in the media (social and print) so as to attract new customers and retain the existing ones, and ensure that they align with the hospital's brand and objectives.

·       Create and manage engaging content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.

·       Monitor social media performance, respond to online feedback, and analyse engagement metrics.

·       Collaborate with design teams to produce high-quality visual content.

4. Customer Service & Call Centre Management

·       Supervise and train the Customer Care, Call Centre staff, GDA, and Sales Teams to ensure efficient and compassionate service delivery.

·       Develop quality service standards and monitor compliance to ensure patient satisfaction.

·       Oversee handling of patient inquiries, feedback, and complaints to ensure timely and effective resolution.

·       Conduct regular assessments and implement initiatives to improve patient experience and hospital reputation.

5. Sales & Business Development

·       Develop and implement effective sales strategies so as to increase sales levels.

·       Identify opportunities to attract new patients and retain the existing ones through innovative marketing approaches.

·       Support corporate client relations, referral networks, and insurance partnerships.

·       Collaborate with department heads to promote hospital specialties and new services.

Skills and qualifications

Education:

·       Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

·       Professional course or certification in Digital Marketing.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

·       Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communication, or public relations.

·       Work Experience in a hospital setup or healthcare setting is highly preferred.

·       Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Somali are required.

·       Proficiency in graphics and video editing tools, digital marketing platforms, and MS Office applications.

·       Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  Language  requirement: ·       Excellent in English and Somali ·       Fair in Arabic.
