Job description
WASDA through Care International has been awarded a strategic Investment -Humanitarian Partnership Platforms (HPPs) grant mainly capacity building for program staff to be implemented for 2 financial years (2022/2023). Based on this, WASDA seeks to recruit MEAL system trainer to train program staff in Kismayu -Somalia.
Objective of Monitoring and Evaluation Training:
The main objective of this Monitoring and Evaluation Training is: a) to enable WASDA to have a deeper understanding about M&E systems b) to enable WASDA to use M&E tools to collect, manage, analyze, and report data; c) to establish a simple and practical M&E system for WASDA project activities.

Responsibilities
WASDA
WASDA will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide guidance to the consultant and arranging training hall
- Review all training documents, agenda and schedule and provide feedback
- Arrange logistics, transportation and accommodation for the consultant team
- Provide necessary documents to the consultant for their reference based on the signed agreement
- Effect payments according the signed agreement
CARE Responsibilities.
- Will provide financial/funding support
- Technical guidance and support on the process of identifying suitable M&E trainer
- Support in developing budgets and TOR for the training
- Contractual agreements between WASDA and CARE.
The Consultant Team
The responsibilities of the consultant team will be:
- Develop all required training documents
- Incorporate all feedback and comments from the management team
- Avail highly professional and skilled training team
- Provide training on set schedule and signed agreement
- Produce and submit training report with pre-and post-test results
Skills and qualifications
- At least 5 years of M&E experience
- Concrete knowledge on M&E concepts and principles
- Experience in conducting M&E training with INGOs/LNGOs or CBOs considered a plus
- Able to deliver trainings in Burmese language is a plus
- Strong English speaking and writing abilities
- Ability to develop M&E tools for WASDA and training participants
- Ability to collaborate with WASDA staff to providing mentoring support during and after the training
