FINANCE OFFICER VACANCY

Due to business expansion, Central Sky International Trading Co. is seeking a qualified Finance Officer in Somaliland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s daily financial, accounting, and related administrative duties.

Position Information

* Position: Finance Officer
* Work Location: Somaliland (the specific work location will be assigned by the company)
* Employment Type: Full-time
* Salary: Negotiable
* Starting Date: Candidates who are available to start immediately will be given priority

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the company’s daily income, expenses, and cash transactions.
2. Maintain accounting records and organize financial vouchers, receipts, and invoices.
3. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
4. Manage bank accounts, payment applications, and bank reconciliations.
5. Calculate and process employee salaries, temporary workers’ wages, and related expenses.
6. Manage petty cash and ensure that every expense is supported by proper documentation and approved by an authorized supervisor.
7. Assist with procurement, inventory, fixed-asset records, and supplier payment management.
8. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and relevant government authorities, and provide the required financial information and documents.
9. Ensure that all financial information is accurate, confidential, and handled in accordance with the company’s financial policies and procedures.
10. Perform other duties assigned by company management.

Qualifications

1. A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
2. At least two years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
3. Familiarity with basic accounting principles, cash management, and bank reconciliation procedures.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience using accounting software is preferred.
5. Good written and spoken English; proficiency in Somali is an advantage.
6. Honest, reliable, responsible, and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
7. Detail-oriented, with strong numerical and document-management skills.
8. Able to work independently and complete financial reports on time.
9. Willingness to travel or work at other company locations when required will be an advantage.
10. Must have no record of misconduct or criminal activity. The selected candidate must provide valid identification, educational certificates, and employment records.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in finance or accounting within international trade, import and export, mining, engineering, or manufacturing industries.
* Familiarity with Somaliland’s taxation, labor, and corporate regulations.
* Experience using QuickBooks or other accounting software.
* Experience in supplier payments, procurement, and inventory management.
