Female Internship Programme 2025
Information Management Centre for Water & Land Resources (IMC) in Puntland was founded in 2019 and is established under the Presidential decree to offer land and water resources data to assist in informed decision making by the government and other stakeholders.
The IMC announces the third intake of Female Internship Programme. The programme aims to empower young women within water and land resources sector gain skills and enhance their confidence to assist them build their careers.
The selected interns will have opportunity to work with experienced and skilled IMC, government, and SWALIM /FAO staff for a minimum of six months.
Post titles:
1. Water Resources Intern
2. Land Resources Intern
3. Geospatial Information Intern
4. Information Management Intern
Skills and qualifications
The Interns will be recruited competitively based on the following criteria;
- Must have graduated recently not earlier than 2020?
- Must be female
- Graduates with relevant field (Information management, water resources management, hydrogeology, meteorology, GIS/RS, Environmental Sciences, Soil Sciences, Natural resources management, Geology etc., i.e., all environmental related topics)
- Must be willing / undertake the programme for the entire period (six months)
- Must be willing to work in the field
- Willing to return and serve within Land and Water Resources institutions in Puntland, if any.
