Your New Role

Are you an IT Security professional looking for a new and exciting role? Can you make sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems?

 

Reporting into the Chief Information Officer, Survitec has an exciting opportunity for you to come on board as our new Head of Security! Our information technology family provides, maintains, optimises and expands the business systems needed to support business operations. The team innovates and digitally transforms business processes and safeguards our business, customer and personal data.

 

Your new role articulates current and future security protocols required, and coordinates and develops Survitec’s databases, data warehouses and data marts and the enforcement of security protocols required to protect and preserve Survitec’s information assets. You will manage core third-party software and system relationships. 

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • You will develop the security strategy, anticipating complex issues, challenges and opportunities, ensuring it is successfully communicated, implemented and meets business needs
  • Define the portfolio of security requirements to support delivery of Survitec business goals and compliance; define the security model for each core application and manage the third-party relationships to ensure security delivered to contract
  • Provide authoritative specialist advice to the IT and wider business leadership team to guide the implementation of and maximise functionality of security
  • Define the roadmap and business plans for security measures, implement and upgrade, to meet Survitec business priorities and customer requirements
  •  Communicate the roadmap for change and renewal and its relationship to Survitec’s mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement that roadmap; motivate people to commit to these actions and to doing extraordinary things to achieve Survitec’s business goals
  • Participate in the development of the wider IT strategy, applying functional expertise to test the viability of the strategy and contributing creative ideas and insights to support the strategy formation process
  • Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, finding out their needs, issues and concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions
  • Manage and report on the performance of the security team; set appropriate performance objectives for team members and holds them accountable for achieving these
  • Define the detailed organisation structure required to deliver security support; define the internal and external relationships, roles and responsibilities required to manage the portfolio of security protocols required for business success
  • Identify the capabilities needed to meet current and emerging Survitec policies, regulatory codes and codes of conduct; evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps and prioritize development activities
  • Ensure risks, issues, dependencies and constraints are managed appropriately

Essential Criteria

  • 10+ years job relate experience
  • 7+ years managerial experience
  • Educated to University or master’s degree level
