Job description
o Respect time table, Daily outreach schedule of the Mobile Health and Nutrition team (MHNT) as planned by the Health officer and the Nutrition expert.
o Ensure implementation of MNCH Activities the outreach sites according to FMOH guidelines.
o Ensure FANC services utilization by the Mothers at outreach level through counselling and referral linkage, Promote birth preparedness and complication readiness for pregnant women, ensure pregnant mothers are getting skilled birth attendance, providing the necessary care and information, ensuring for Mother and children, accurate clinical and diagnostic assessment and evaluation, adequate medication, including vaccinations, precise diagnosis, prompt identification of risk factors and accurate counselling, implement adequate problem solving process through accurate and evidence based actions.
o Keep all Outreach Maternal and Child service delivery documentations and records properly filled and organized.
o Ensure High level standard care is given to the mothers at outreach level following accurately the guidelines and the procedures for both mothers, and new-born.
o Keep all Labour, Delivery and Postnatal documentations and records properly filled and organized.
o Prompt identifications of risk factors and implementation of appropriate actions, including referral.
o Be responsible to organize referral in short and effective time to avoid any delay and further complications to clients.
o Perform PNC as per guidelines, monitoring and ensuring clients follow up.
o Ensure adequate and effective Health Education and Information to clients, implementing Health education sessions in the out rich activities.
o Ensure that workplace (outreach sites), material and instruments are properly kept, cleaned and sterilized, mentoring also the Health extension workers.
o Work with colleagues being respectful of their role and position having a positive attitude, behaviour and ensuring a good team spirit work.
o Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor and the project Manager.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Midwifery.
- Three Years and Above work Experience as a Midwife.
- Fluent in Somali Language.
- Experience working in Mobile and Health Team is a Pluses.
- Good Amharic and English Language.
