Job Title: Field Monitoring Associates
Contract Type/Grade: G6
Duty Station: Dolow, Garowe, Hargeisa
Contract Duration: 1 year (Initial)

What will you do?
- Conduct data quality checks for accurate and reliable final reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection and upload to monitoring databases by field monitors.
- Assist in monitoring plan preparation, implementation, and training of cooperating partners in monitoring and data collection.
- Assist in visualizing monitoring reports through dashboards and preparing various data analyses and reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their data and information requirements.
- Take part in reflection sessions with monitors and colleagues to interpret monitoring data and make improvements in activity designs and implementation.
- Support the AO M&E Lead in drafting area level monitoring reports, ensuring follow-up on previous findings, and timely analysis of reports.
- Support the implementation of WFP CO learning agenda by playing a key role in documenting good practices and success stories from the field, through human interest stories, photos, videos, etc.
- Support in the collection and analysis of data for assessments, evaluations, reviews, and other evidence generation activities that form part of the CO learning agenda implementation plan.
- Support the AO M&E Lead in tracking and addressing reported issues and complaints in the CRM system.
- Coordinate with program focal points to escalate and follow-up on cases related to complaints.
- Ensure accountability to beneficiaries by monitoring activities and addressing grievances.
- Provide input for monitoring and evaluation plans, gather feedback from beneficiaries, and report operational issues affecting WFP's operations at the field level.
Skills and qualifications
Do you meet the minimum requirements?
Education: A post-secondary certificate or degree
Experience: At least 6 years’ experience supporting Monitoring & evaluation activities in a humanitarian context.
Experience in field data collection (including electronic data collection) and engagement with communities.
Data management & Report writing experience.
Experience in leading a team is an added advantage.
Practical expertise in monitoring including tools design, data collection and analysis.
Language: Fluency in oral and written communication in English and Somali.

- General knowledge of humanitarian and development work in Somalia
- Excellent soft skills including, but not limited to, communication skills, observation skills, listening skills, etc.
- Analytical skills including deductive and inductive reasoning, thematic reasoning, pattern analysis, etc.
- Able to effectively use different computer applications including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
