Somali Humanitarian Hub (SHH) – Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives!
Are you a local or national NGO committed to community-driven humanitarian response in Somalia or Somaliland?
The Somali Humanitarian Hub (SHH) is expanding its network and calling for Expressions of Interest from eligible NGOs passionate about locally led solutions.
Who we are:
We are a local network comprised of eight local and two international NGO members. Our vision is to contribute to a locally led and proactive humanitarian system centered around disaster-affected communities. We are locally led and governed and are affiliated with Start Network, a global humanitarian platform tackling systemic challenges in the aid sector.
SHH’s packaged solutions prioritize:
• Community-based response models in Anticipatory Action (AA) and Early Action (EA)
• Leveraging technology and innovation to improve early humanitarian response
• Promoting an inclusive, locally led humanitarian system
• Amplifying the voice of affected communities and local actors

Skills and qualifications
Who Can Apply?
To qualify, your organization must:
• Be a registered local/national NGO in Somalia/Somaliland
• Have 3+ years of operational experience
• Commit to the localization agenda (e.g., Charter for Change, Grand Bargain 2.0)
• Operate in humanitarian contexts
• Have a physical presence in Somalia/Somaliland
• Provide audited accounts, valid documentation, and references
• Agree to registration and annual membership fees
