𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲
The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing all day-to-day operations of 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜e to ensure effective and profitable delivery of Sharia-compliant microfinance services, drive business growth, and maintain regulatory compliance. This role involves expanding financial inclusion and empowering Somali entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on supporting Small and Medium Enterprise in Somalia.
𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬
 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 & 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡: Lead the development and implementation of the company's strategic and annual business plans, focusing on increasing market outreach and achieving profitability targets.
 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high customer service standards, and a professional financial environment across all departments (lending, customer service, etc.).
 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 & 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Supervise loan processing, appraisal, disbursement, and recovery processes. Maintain a healthy loan portfolio by ensuring timely repayments and low delinquency rates, adhering to credit policies and risk mitigation frameworks.
 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: Develop and manage the institutional budget, oversee financial affairs, and ensure the provision of accurate and prompt financial and management reports to the Group CEO.
 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Ensure strict adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements set by the Central Bank of Somalia, including Sharia compliance. Implement effective internal control systems to mitigate key financial and operational risks.
 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Drive business development initiatives, including the research and launch of new and innovative Sharia-compliant financial products tailored to member/ client’s needs 
 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 & 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, community leaders, and development partners. Lead, coach, and mentor staff to foster a high-performance culture aligned with the organization's mission and values.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬
𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, marketing or a related field from a reputable university.
𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Minimum of five (5) year of experience in the microfinance, with at least two (2) years in a senior management or supervisory position.
𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞: In-depth knowledge of microfinance operations, products, and the Somali regulatory framework. Strong financial acumen and a thorough understanding of performance metrics/indicators are essential.
