Peace Action Society Organization for Somalia (PASOS) is a professionally managed and committed national Non-Governmental and Non-profit-making organization, based Mogadishu, Somalia with operational offices across southern and central Somalia  The primary focus of PASOS is on the problems of the poor in their struggle to obtain a life of justice & dignity, environment stabilization, food security & livelihood, getting access to clean portable water and health services, empowerment of the community for self-governance are the most important components of its mission. Gender justice, advocacy on human rights, democracy, peace and conflict resolution in society child protection and child rights, natural resource management, and livelihood security are our primary areas of concern as well.

ENUMERATOR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

The data collector's role is to collect field data (via household and phone surveys) as well as verify beneficiaries at the HH level. He or she will have direct contact with households and will have a significant impact on the quality of data collected.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

• Conduct Baseline, Midline and Endline surveys.
• Conduct FGDs and KIIs to solicite feedback from project stakeholder and share the report with M&E

PARTICULAR RESPONSIBILITY

• Participate assessment data collections
• Collect multi-sectorial assessment information
• Conduct HH surveys and phone surveys
• Capture data using digital data gathering technology.
• Ensure anonymity of respondents, build good rapport, and trust relationship with the respondents.
• Inform M&E/Project staff on daily field issues including technical issues.
• Ensure that the data collected is of high quality
• Conduct FGD and KII and interpret the findings into a report in English and share the findings with the respective department

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
• Willingness to work in demanding, stressful situations under difficult field working conditions with respect for basic security rules;
• Fluency in both spoken and written English as well as excellent Somali language is required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICAITONS
ESSENTIALS

• Knowledge of the local language (Somali)
• Experience with start-up, exit or similar
• Diploma or degree in Community Services, statistics and other relevant courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required
• Prospective candidates must have strong interpersonal skills as well as good qualitative and quantitative skills
