Context
WHO Somalia is seeking a proactive and creative Online Volunteer to support its communications and visibility efforts. The volunteer will work with the External Relations and Communications team to assist with standard communications tasks, help maintain content workflows, and contribute to the development of a comprehensive Communications Plan for the country office.

Support the drafting and editing of communication materials (e.g., social media posts, success stories, talking points, newsletters) Assist in developing and updating a content calendar to support strategic messaging around key international days and campaigns Contribute to the development of the WHO Somalia Communications Plan, including research on best practices and drafting of plan components Help maintain internal tracking documents (e.g., comms products database, partner visibility tracker)course of their work.

Required experience
Previous experience in social media management, content creation, and digital communication.
• Basic knowledge of graphic design tools, preferably Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels; familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development;
• Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, among others), email, and internet;
• Commitment to WHO's mission and values.
