Background

Islamic Relief Worldwide Somaliland is an International humanitarian organization that has been working in Somaliland since 2006. We are committed to achieving our core vision of caring for the people of concern in all countries where we work. Our goal is to provide vulnerable communities in Somaliland with access to basic needs including Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), Education, Basic Health services and Livelihood Support.

The proposed integrated program aims to build on the achievements of IR USA funded project in the target areas of Somaliland and Puntland. The program aims to build and expand the reach and results achieved under SARIA I, FAD I and SELL projects in the respective sites. The positive results and impact, resilience and inspiration of the good people of the target sites provided the motivation behind the formulation of this integrated program approach , As a part of SHEEP Project IR is planning to Conduct Topographical assessment, Designing and Connect 8 kms water supply system and two water kiosks in Magalocad to increase water access for irrigation. Therefore IRS Somaliland office is looking for qaulified Consultant firm who could able to carry out the below mission

Topographic Survey Requirements

1. The survey map / drawing must show all Natural permanent feature routes such as water streams, type of land, transmission line , Roads ,valleys and so on.
2. A Bench Marks (BM) pillar with coordinates and levels must be installed and shown in the drawing for future reference. At the site, a standard size BM pillar with an embedded depth of 35 cm in the ground should be installed..
3. The survey map must be created using CAD software such as Auto CAD or Civil 3D and field data. The main plan should be in scale of 1:750. Any landmarks or permanent features such as permanent buildings, Famous places, wells, and so on that fall within or along the survey area must be showed on the maps.
4. Details Topographical Survey and Contour survey plan shall be drawn at the rate of 50m
5. Description and symbol to be indicated in the legend of the drawing shall be identical as per drawing.
6. Drawing for strip plan, Longitudinal & cross sections shall be presented in following standard scales: Key plan (in separate sheet) 1:750  Plan    Cross – Section Vertical Scale 1:500     Horizontal Scale 1:750
7. the consultant must use highly sophisticated survey equipment's like theodolite and total stations

Expected outcome

• A detailed map prepared on standard size and submitted in 3 copies (hard format) and soft copies
• Autocad/ Civil 3D softcopy and hardcopy documentation showing all the required data and information.

Certificate in Secondary school, diploma for any field or another related Field.
