Tender Notice: Rehabilitation of Three Shallow Wells, Supply and Installation of Solar Pump, Fencing, and construction of three open water kiosk with 6 faucets each at Jamaame District, Jubaland Funded by Somali Humanitarian Fund (SHF)

Background:

The Social Environmental Agency (SEA) is a national non-profit and non-political organization established in 2017 by Somali intellectuals to address the needs of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable host communities in Somalia, particularly in Jubaland, South West State, and Banaadir Region. SEA operates its headquarters in Kismayo with sub-branch offices in Mogadishu, Baidoa, and Afmadow.

SEA's interventions encompass various sectors including; Food Security and Livelihoods, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Protection, and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) issues, enabling effective engagement with communities, governments, donors, and project implementations.

Project Title: Rehabilitation of Three Shallow Wells and construction of 3 open water kiosk with 6 faucets each in Farwamo, Singaleer, and Wirkoy-Jamame, Lower Jubba, Somalia.

 

1. Project Overview:

The Social Environmental Agency (SEA) invites qualified contractors to submit tenders for the rehabilitation of three shallow wells, supply and installation of solar pump systems, fencing and construction of open water kiosk with 6 faucets in the specified locations.

 

2. Scope of Work:

 

Supply and Installation of Solar Pump:

·         Procurement and installation of solar pump inverter and associated equipment.

·         Supply and installation of photovoltaic modules, cables, safety ropes, water meters, well probe sensors, float switches, PV disconnects, and lamp units.

·         Construction of mild steel structure/tower, module support structure, and concrete foundation.

·         Installation of UPVC drop pipes and submersible pump.

·         Provision and installation of necessary accessories.

·         Testing, commissioning, and transportation.

·         Interested bidders must submit their tenders in accordance with the provided Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

·         Please ensure that all documents are accurately prepared and submitted in accordance with the specified requirements.

·         Failure to meet any of the above criteria may result in disqualification from the bidding process.

·         Bidders are required to submit their proposals in sealed envelopes (if summiting physically) marked"SEA-KIS-011-2024 – Rehabilitation and construction work Tender" to the following address:
