Procurement of new ice boat

New ice boat larger than existing boats but small enough to be operated by Somali fishers. Can fish rougher seas and catch fish year-round using longlines, droplines, troll lines and fish traps. 21m length; equipped with a longline system with one fresh fish hold (48 m3 (0-5°C)), one frozen fish hold (39 m3 (-18°C)), and one store of 15 m2. Vessel is equipped with motor (450HP Marine of 49 KVA generating 380V, 220V and 24V for LED lighting- for more details please see attached specification.

Boat Information

1. Length 21 -25 meters

2. At least 5 meters wide.

3. Can carry 25-30 tones.

4. With 4 fresh rooms of 12m3 each (48m3 in total).

5. Has an ice maker that can produce 2,500 kg per day.

6. Complete Long line system for at least 1,500 jilib, ropes, buoys and rolling machines.

7. It has a 370-450 hp marine engine.

8. Drive 7 beds, kitchen, and bathroom.

DT Global will not respond to questions pertaining to this RFQ over the phone. DT Global will not in any way assist Offerors in preparing their bids nor reimburse any bid preparation costs incurred by the Offeror. Offerors are expected to submit competitive prices/quotations. The lowest price technically acceptable offer will be considered as the best offer.

The goods will be delivered in Mogadishu Somalia. The bidder is expected to deliver the required goods/boat and related services in the specified location, and it is the sole responsibility of the vendor to ensure this is done, under the supervision of IRiS Project relevant team lead.

Mandatory Submission Requirements: 

1.     Valid Business Registration Certificate from Ministry of Commerce and Industry Somalia

2.     Tax compliance certificate from Ministry of Finance, Federal Government of Somalia

3.     Contracts or a letter of recommendation for similar works undertaken in Somalia as evidence.

4.     NDAA Section 889 Representation Form. DT Global reserves the right to disqualify any offeror using covered materials. See Annex A Below.
