It has been implementing development projects in Somaliland since 2001. Multi-sectoral projects have been carried out in the Awdal, Marodijeh, Togdheer & Sanaag Regions for the past 21 years.

As part of the humanitarian efforts which is being delivered to the drought affected communities in Somaliland, we are now going to deliver water trucking interventions in new sites under Odwayne district.

Description of the of the project and the bid

WHH-Somaliland is going to provide clean water to the target villages (see the below list) under Odwayne district, Togdheer region through water trucking to guarantee Minimum basic survival water needs for drinking, food and Hygiene practices.  The Activity will be implemented by water Tankers by taking a safe drinking water from the nearest water sources. All the legible water trucking companies and individuals are invited to apply.

Key activities

• The contractor must supply 124  loads/trucks of clean water  to the designated areas as stated in the below list/table and abide by the given specifications regarding quantities or capacity.
• The contractor must provide clean water which should be supplied from the approved wells of MoWRD.
• The contractor must give realistic and shorter delivery times which is aligned to the emergency situation and calls from the beneficiaries.

The successful contractor will provide water to the following villages;

Note: all the corresponding documents for this tender (water trucking interventions) of the  above respective villages are uploaded to our E-tender system and can be downloaded from there. Also, the required criteria for the bid have been explicitly shown in the bid dossiers. The bidders must fulfill the minimum tender criteria as outlined in the tender documents and failure to do this will be subject to automatic disqualification.

Special attention

Quantities and contents of the listed assortment is subject to no alteration. Welthungerhilfe

reserves the right to divide the orders into lots and to award the lots into different suppliers.

However, Welthungerhilfe prefers to place the order with one suppler only. All the relevant information are indicated in the bid documents. Furthermore, all bidders are also required to meet the minimum tender requirements as shown in the bid dossiers. Welthungerhilfe will strictly check  these criteria and most notably the supplier who fits the bid requirements will be deemed as a winner.
