SUBJECT: TENDER INVITATION FOR SUPPLY OF BASIC FOOD ITEMS TO 750 SELECTED HOUSEHOLDS THROUGH VOUCHERS IN BAIDOA DISTRICT, BAY REGION

  1. Background

Following the collapse of the Somali government in 1991, the country has experienced prolonged instability characterized by insecurity, displacement, and limited access to basic services such as food, water, and shelter.

In response to these challenges, Wamo Relief and Rehabilitation Services (WRRS) was established in 2004 by Somali professionals with the aim of contributing to humanitarian relief and supporting vulnerable communities.

WRRS is a non-profit, non-partisan organization, legally registered and operating across South-Central Somalia and Puntland.

To strengthen the capacity of local communities in Somalia to improve their educational, economic, and social well-being through the provision of relief assistance, emergency livelihoods, social support, and capacity-building interventions, using participatory, community-based peacebuilding and human rights-based approaches.

  1. Project Overview

WRRS is implementing the Dutch Relief Alliance Somalia Drought Acute Crisis Joint Response Project in Baidoa, Bay Region. The project aims to improve the living conditions of newly displaced households affected by drought through the provision of essential food assistance using a voucher-based modality as well as WASH support.

How to apply

  1. Invitation to Tender

WRRS hereby invites eligible and qualified suppliers with proven experience and capacity to supply similar items to submit their bids. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the procurement reference number or sent via email to:

  1. Mandatory Documentation Requirements

    Bidders shall submit the following documents as part of their quotation package:

  2. Valid company registration certificate from the Federal Government Ministry of Commerce and South west state level

  3. Valid tax clearance certificate / permit from Federal Government.

  4. Copy of owner’s passport or national ID 

  5. Company profile, including a detailed physical address and contact information 

  6. Evidence of past and relevant experience (e.g., contracts, completion certificates, references) 

  7. Financial capacity proof (recent bank statement or other supporting financial documents)

Quoted companies and individuals should submit their quotations to the WRRS’s Baidoa office in a sealed envelope or via email [email protected]. Interested bidders should submit their “quotes” not later than 14/04/2026 @ 4:00pm
