Installation of Pipes & Fittings in Burao City.

1. The Somaliland Development Fund (SDF) Phase 3 aims to strengthen the climate resilience of
   vulnerable communities in Somaliland while creating increased income and job opportunities, thereby
   helping to reduce poverty. SDF3’s ambitions are aligned with NDP3 and reflect the priorities set out
   in Somaliland Vision 2030.
2. The SDF has allocated funds to the Ministry of Water Resources Development (MoWRD) for the
   implementation of the Burao Water Supply System Expansion Project. As part of this project,
   MoWRD intends to procure Contractors for the Construction of Civil Works, and Supply & Installation
   of Pipes & Fittings in Burao City. The Works will be carried out in two (02) separate lots/contracts:
   • Lot-1 [Construction of Feeder and Transmission Mains from Six Boreholes to the Booster
   Station, Including Borehole Site Infrastructure]
   • Lot-2 [Construction of Transmission Main from the Main Booster Station up to 250m3
   Elevated Tank and Distribution Pipeline]

The award of contract(s) will, however, be subject to the availability of full funding.
3. The Somaliland Development Fund Secretariat now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified
bidders for the Construction of Storage Tanks and Associated Infrastructure in Burao City, as
described in detail in the bidding documents.
4. Bidding will be in accordance with the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in
the SDF procurement manual which can be found at the SDF website via the link: SDF3 -
Procurement Manual.pdf .and is open to all eligible bidders

1. Interested firms can request for the bidding documents from the SDF Secretariat at the physical
   address or via the emails indicated below. Bidding documents will be shared electronically.
2. Interested firms are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting scheduled on Thursday, 6
   thAugust 2026, at 10:00 hours at the SDF Meeting Room at the address below.
   A Site visit shall be conducted on Sunday, 9th August 2026, in Burao.
   None-attendance of the Pre-Bid meeting and/or the Site Visit shall not disqualify a firm from bidding.
3. Eligible and Qualified Bidders must deliver their Sealed Bids to the address below on or before
   Sunday, 23rd August 2026 at 11:00 hours East African Standard Time. Electronic submission of
   bids will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
4. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone
   who chooses to attend at the address below on Sunday, 23rd August 2026, immediately after the
   deadline for the submission of Bids.
