The program is implemented by DT Global and other consortium partners, including Mercy Corps, Save the Children, Somalia Agriculture Technical Group (SATG), and Itad.
The project aims to accelerate economic development for marginalized groups in the targeted areas of Somalia by increasing individual, household, business, community, and system-wide resilience through rural and urban livelihood diversification and promoting inclusive economic market systems to combat real and perceived grievances that contribute to social stresses. Additionally, the IRiS program will bolster the market systems of Somalia’s productive sectors, including Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries, and the integration of marginalized communities and IDPs into the rural-urban economies.
