CONSTRUCTION OF 2 FARM PRODUCE MARKETS (MEAT & VEGETABLES) IN AFMADOW AND DHOBLEY TOWNS LOWER JUBA REGION SOMALIA

1.      Introduction

WASDA is a local humanitarian agency whose work aims at creating an enabling environment for marginalized communities to break the cycle of poverty and exclusion. WASDA has been working with pastoral communities in Kenya and Somalia for the past 23 years.

WASDA with funding from BMZ Germany through CARE International is implementing the 1st phase of Promotion of Resilience and Inclusive Social Cohesion in Somalia (PRESOCO) The main goal or objective of the project is to strengthen the resilience of chronically vulnerable people and local systems in Somalia to cope with recurring shocks and stresses and to adapt to the impacts of climate change and prolonged conflicts in Badhadhe and Afmadow districts in Lower Juba region of Somalia. As part of it is programs, WASDA plans to carry out construction of two (2) markets for business group associations in Dhobley and Afmadow towns of Afmadow district, lower juba region, Somalia.

For this purpose, WASDA hereby invites interested qualified contractors/suppliers with sound financial capacity and relevant work experiences in similar activity to submit their bids. The completed tender/bid document in plain sealed envelope clearly marked ‘’TENDER REF NO: WASDA/196/2023 – Construction of 2 farm produce markets (Meat & Vegetables) in Afmadow and Dhobley Towns Lower Juba Region Somalia’’ should be delivered at WASDA Kismayo office on or before Wednesday, 24th May 2023 at 10.00 AM East African Time.
