Tender for the Construction of VIP Latrines for Displaced Communities in Somalia

The Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) invites experienced and qualified construction companies to participate in the tender for the Construction of VIP Latrines for Displaced Communities in Somalia

1. Project Locations:

● Lower Jubba Region (Kismayo)

● Bay Region (Baidoa),

● Banadir Region (Mogadishu),

● Mudug Region (Galkayo)

● Bari Region (Bosaso)

2. Eligibility / Legal Documents

Interested companies must submit the following documents:

● Company registration certificate from the relevant government authorities.

● Company profile detailing past experiences in similar projects.

● Copies of at least three previous contracts or purchase orders for similar works.

● Bank statement for the last six months.

● Expression of Interest Letter indicating the specific location they are applying for

3. Project Scope

This project includes the following key activities:

Scope of Work

The contractor will be responsible for the following:

● Constructing 750 VIP latrines in the following locations

o Kismayo

o Baidoa (128)

o Mogadishu (180)

o Galkayo (180)

o Bosaso (136)

o

● Ensuring gender-segregated facilities (separate latrines for men and women).

● Adhere to all necessary standards and guidelines for sanitation facilities.

The interested companies can apply for the tenders as follows

● Each site’s tender is independent from the other sites

● Applicant should send an Expression of Interest Letter indicating the specific location they are applying for and the other eligibly documents by Emil

● The Email Subject Line should indicate the location, written as follows      

o Construction of VIP Latrines in Kismayo

o Construction of VIP Latrines in Baidoa

o Construction of VIP Latrines in Mogadishu

o Construction of VIP Latrines in Galkayo

o Construction of VIP Latrines in Bosaso

Submission Process

Interested and qualified companies must send the Expression of Interest Letter along with the required eligibility documents to [email protected]. After reviewing the eligibility documents, SRCS will share the Request for Quotation (RFQ) with shortlisted companies only.
