Position Title: Information Technology Engineer
Location: Mogadishu, Somalia
Type: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform on-site and remote technical support.
Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
Maintains excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects.
Creates and maintains good technical documentation
Assists in the planning, design, documentation, and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment, and software applications.
Monitors and maintains the use of photo printers and printers.
Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups.
Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement.
Provides emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule.
Performs other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications
Qualification / Education Level :
IT Engineering Degree or any related field.
Skills Required:
Strong customer management skills.
Ability to follow procedures and efficiently troubleshoot network, hardware, and software issues.
Effectively communicate skills to engage the customer and start the service experience.
Ensure proper management of the initial call from the customer.
In-depth knowledge of the Ticket Support System.
Effective 'debriefing' and reporting of the service call for future enhancements
Coordinate project and delivery schedules to ensure that SLA is met
Follow up with customer regarding outstanding issues
Collect, collate and develop customer service delivery key performance indicator metric reports as required
