As part of its commitment to strengthening Ethiopia's rehabilitation workforce and supporting the transition of newly graduated professionals into clinical practice, HI intends to offer internship opportunities for recent Physiotherapy graduates from Ethiopian Universities.

The internship will be hosted at Degehabur General Hospital, where the intern will gain supervised practical experience in delivering rehabilitation services while contributing to improved access to quality care for persons with disabilities and individuals with functional limitations.

During the internship period, Humanity & Inclusion will provide the following support:

• A daily allowance of ETB 1,000, a transport allowance of ETB 8800 and a communication allowance of ETB 4400 to cover meals and local transportation. The allowances are subject to applicable Ethiopian tax regulations.
• Transportation costs for travel from Addis Ababa to the duty station at the commencement of the internship and return travel to Addis Ababa upon completion of the internship assignment will be covered by HI. Return transportation is provided after an intern completes the full period of their assignment, with their supervisor's approval.
• Group Yearly Renewable Term Life (GYRT) insurance coverage for work-related accidents, in accordance with HI's Human Resources Manual and organizational policies.
• Accommodation will be provided by Degehabur General Hospital (DGH).
• Continuous technical supervision and mentorship from experienced rehabilitation professionals to strengthen interns' clinical competencies and professional development.
• An opportunity to gain practical experience in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation setting serving diverse populations.

Please note that Severance pay, compensation, and reinstatement shall not be applicable to the internship contract.

Job Requirement

Qualification: Fresh BSc graduate in Physiotherapy from a recognized university, who graduated in 2026.

• Willingness and ability to work in remote locations
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and HI’s mandate
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Proactive, hardworking, conscientious, and strong organizational skills
• Resilient to stress
• Ability to work under pressure with a high level of personal organization and flexibility, and frequent travel to field target areas (Woredas and Kebeles).
