Description of the Assignment:  National Consultancy- Product Designer (UI/UX)

 

Period of assignment/services (75 days):  [Within Six months]

Skills and qualifications

Minimum qualifications, years of experience and skills
Education / Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
Required Skills and Competencies
• Proven experience in UI/UX and product design for complex, web-based systems.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, AdobeXD, UXPilot (or equivalent),
including the creation of wireframes, high-fidelity designs, interactive prototypes, and design systems.
• Strong experience designing user-centered interfaces for data-heavy platforms, including dashboards,
document repositories, search, and analytical workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with software developers and work within modern web
development environments (e.g. React-based applications, APIs, and modular system architectures).

• Practical experience designing user experiences that incorporate AI-enabled functionality, such as
intelligent search, natural-language queries, recommendations, or AI-assisted interactions.
• Solid understanding of AI concepts from a product and user-experience perspective, including human–AI
interaction, explainability, and usability of AI-driven features.
• Experience designing for accessibility, usability, and consistency across multiple user roles and permission
levels.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and design-thinking skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical, analytical, and operational requirements into clear, intuitive, and
usable design solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including developers,
subject-matter experts, and management.
• Ability to deliver high-quality design outputs and documentation that can be effectively implemented by
development teams.
Desired Additional Skills and Competencies
• Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or UN agencies is an advantage.
• Knowledge of risk management or humanitarian contexts is an added advantage.
Required Language(s) (at Working Level)
• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required
